Being the major arm in developing the mining sector in the Sultanate, MDO is responsible for delivering the strategic objectives stipulated in Oman Vision 2040 by closely collaborating with the Ministry of Energy & Minerals and other government entities to explore and evaluate the various opportunities that maximize the potential of the Sultanate’s mining industry.

• MDO is investing in concession areas of about 24,119 sq.km, close to logistic infrastructures, sources of energy, and vibrant ports.
